I offered to take on a builder's unfinished work

Updated: Jan 10

A Helping Hand with Office Renovations in HorshamWhilst working on some furniture and shelving for a Horsham-based office, I noticed an unfinished room that was intended to serve as a printer and stationary space. The walls were in place but not dry-lined, and the carpentry was still incomplete. I offered to complete the remaining work, which took the burden off the owners, who would have otherwise had to find separate trades to finish the job.

Here's what I did:

  • Installed skirting boards, door, door stops, and architrave

  • Dry-lined the walls

  • Sanded the walls smooth with a M-class dustless sander

  • Applied a coat of Johnstones Paint in teal color to the walls.
